How We Help
Former foster care youth are an under-served population in our community. Once an individual reaches 18 years old they are removed from the system and the opportunity to receive benefits. As a result, RFCBC aims to help advance these teens by providing services to position them for future success.
RFCBC provides the following core services:
Triumph Scholarships – Enabling former foster care youth to attend college and vocational schools.
Polaris House – A transitional living program for youth who have aged out of foster care.
Emergency Funding – Funds for youth in crisis.
Pigs for Kids – Groups adopt piggy banks and all collections go toward our Triumph scholarships.
Guardian Scholars Partnership – We partner with the CU Guardian Scholars Program to provide four-year undergraduate degree scholarships to former foster care youth.
Youth Activities – We provide periodic fun and engaging activities for low-income youth.
